About

Hi There!

I guess this means you want to know a little bit more about me! Let’s start with the basics. My name is Sam. I am 30 years old. I’m a Jersey Shore native, went to the University of Maryland, moved around quick a bit,but now live in Alexandria, VA with my hubby!

me

Yep. That’s me!

Running and I have had a love/hate relationship for the last 17 years. Throughout my adventures in running, I have had the pleasure of trying many different events including sprints, hurdles, and even the mile (which seemed like a HUGE deal in 9th grade)! If you had told me at the age of 14 that I would fall in love with long distance running and train for months in the rain, snow, and blistering sun to run 13.1 or more miles, I would have told you that you should probably stop huffing paint.

As an adult, running has become a reprieve from the hectic hustle of everyday life. I live to explore new places and find interesting ways to cross train, in order to keep my relationship with running fresh. Luckily, I found a husband who appreciates running almost as much as I do and enjoys traveling with me to try new races.

The DC Metro area is my adopted home, I didn’t’ grow up here, but I love it. It’s a dream city for a fitness-enthusiast. There are miles upon miles of trails that range from scenic to urban.

I’m on a quest to achieve balance in my life. I started my blog to chronicle my misadventures in baking, running, and everything in between. BikeRunBake.com is my outlet for the highs and lows of my long-term relationship with health and fitness. If you are interested in hearing more from me day-to-day visit me onTwitter or Instagram username: Bike_Run_Bake.

  1. Never have to apologize about wedding pics … especially in the first year! I pop in pics of my wife and I together all the time … and we’re approaching 22 years married 🙂

Tell me what you think!
